Sep 07 The Reel Highland Dancers at Newhailes

The Reel Highland Dancers On the 15th and the 16th of September the ScotClans family were out at Newhailes, previously we had completed a Scottish Wedding photo-shoot filling this elegant house with ladies in flowing dresses and smart kilted men. This time we had a group of four Scottish dancers who brought life into the house with uniformed spins and quite amazing leaps, luckily none of the priceless antiques were harmed and we came away with another set of quite amazing images.

'The Reel Highland Dancers' are a fantastic group of young dancers who have all previous danced at The Edinburgh Tattoo and are currently raising money to go to The United States of America where they plan to wow our cousins across the pond with their Scottish moves.

Their dedication can be seen when they dance, we were all awe stuck as they ran through some of their dances.

The setting of Newhailes worked really well, we were told that the family who lived at Nehailes used to hold Ceilidhs in the main library. Furniture was moved aside to be replaced by dancing people, twirling and laughing. It was quite extraordinary to fill the house with movement again.

At ScotClans we currently sell dancers kilts but have been wanting to really work on being able to offer real Scottish Made Dancers outfits and accessories for all ages.
