MacKenzie People

Kenneth MacKenzie (d.1492)
One of the most powerful and notorious chiefs of the clan, his splendid tomb can still be seen at Beauly Priory.

Compton MacKenzie Compton MacKenzie (1883-1972)
Renowned Scottish novelist, comic writer and essayist, he was also a founder member of the Scottish Nationalist Party.



Seaforth MacKenzie (1913-55)
An Australian novelist and poet, considered one of the most important of his generation. His “Selected Poems” was published in 1961.

General Sir Jeremy MacKenzie (b.1941)
