Clan MacThomas Diamond Jubilee Gathering 2014

The Clan MacThomas Society has announced that the Clan Diamond Jubilee Gathering will be held in Pitlochry & Glenshee, Scotland over the English Bank Holiday weekend of 22-26 August 2014. Details of the hotel, together with provisional details of the programme, were announced in the 2013 edition of the Clach Na Coileach magazine, which has now been mailed to members across the world. Friday 22nd August 2014 – Day One

Rooms at the Scotland’s Hotel become available.

Register and collect name badges and tickets for prepaid events from the Society desk in the hotel foyer. Clan Merchandise will be on sale in the foyer.

Tour of MacThomas Territory
To include sites associated with past chiefs such as Broughdearg, Finegand, Glen Begg, Forter Gastle, Crandart, Glen Beannie and McCombie’s chair. Visit to Glen Isla Churchyard where McCombie Mor is said to be buried.
There will be Lunch stop in Glenshee.

A short talk by Clan Sennachie, Grahame Thom.
Share your family tree with the Sennachie and other Society Members.

Morning Coffee in the hotel lounge.
Your chance to meet the Chief and other members of Council for informal discussions on the Clan, the Society, the Gathering and the way forward.

Free time to explore Pitlochry and the surrounding areas.

Informal dinner.
At Pitlochry Theatre or a restaurant of your choice.

Farewell Clan Breakfast at Scotland’s Hotel
An informal buffet breakfast and a chance to say good-bye to friends old and new. Free to hotel guests.
