Doune of Rothiemurchus. nr Aviemore. 18th C mansion built on site of earlier castle. Once owned by Shaws, now owned by Grants.
Sauchie Tower. nr Alloa. 15th C Tower built by Shaws after the land passed to them in 1420.

Lachlan Shaw (1692-1777)
Lachlan Shaw was a schoolmaster in Abernethy, before becoming a minister. He had ministries in Kingusse, Cawdor and finally Elgin. As well as being known as an inspiring preacher, he also achieved renown as an outstanding local historian.

John Shaw (1792-1827)
Trained in medicine and became a brilliant surgeon. He published many outstanding medical treatises
