William Ramsay (d.1710)
William Ramsay fought in the army of Archduke Charles of Austria in the war of the Spanish Succession.

Andrew Ramsay
Left Scotland to live in France in 1708. There he became famous for his academic excellence and became the mentor of the Prince de Turenne. Ramsay became tutor to both Jacobite princes – Charles Edward and Henry.
