What is The Pleated Plaid?
Based on the traditional Belted Plaid / Féileadh-mór we have created a pre-pleated adaption of this. This is far easier to wear that pleating the belted plaid yourself.
The top part of the plaid can be worn down like in the photos or up over the shoulder, tied/ with a plaid brooch.
We use at least 5 yards of double width 16oz wool tartan to make this. So does not crush like the lighter versions. This is all hand stitched.
To make this we need a natural waist measurement and your height.

This is unsewn, 5 yards of double width cloth for you to construct your own Feileadh Mòr or Belted Plaid.
The Medium Weight Belted Plaid is ava ilable in the Seventeen Eighty Three range of tartans including the Glen Affic Tartan (1819 ). Also the Hebridean range of Tartans.
